Late at night I begin to drift Off into an in-between state The place where dreams become reality The world is at our disposal I look into your eyes and sense fear The accumulation of bad experience I sense a pressure, weight upon your head Holding tightly to each other, we depart Mystically bound to see the end Too afraid to move on Yet too afraid to wake and forget The unleashing of your mind Painful memories like a broken record Skipping at the part of the song That you’d rather leave behind But you have to hear it through I take your hand As we reach the promise land The wisdom of ages is close As your eyes flutter and close Fight the fight and win the war Slay the beast forevermore Leave the past behind And walk the road to a new life For you have to leave it behind Have to pass that final stage Pushing it back won’t make it go Out of the cobwebs of your mind Wait to see your dream become reality New light is shed on you and me Destiny finds you free from the sandman The power of the night is in your hands

All alone I stand here now Pouring my heart unto you Every day I’ve tried to tell But was afraid you’d say we’re through, me and you Every day we fought for years Infinitely countless have been the tears Your impact on a worthless life Has pierced me as would a knife I’ve reached my end and there’s just one thing to do I’ve always loved you as my friend As as a friend I must face the truth I can’t help my feelings, the ones I’ve tried to ignore My mind tells me to leave you alone But my heart falls more and more So as a friend, my dearest friend Tell me what I’m going to do? Because how to you say to a best friend Please don’t leave me be I can’t help but fall in love with you I’m lost now in this great big world And I don’t know what to do Because although I thought it wouldn’t happen I’m falling in love, in love with you You’d never know I do not think If I did not tell you But all you’ve done is push me away Though you wouldn’t remember how

Tailspin 03:25
Coming to with a headache all my own I’m reaching around for somewhere to hold Darkness is spinning all around me Falling into sobriety Can’t seem to find my way to the door It’s bad enough dodging drunks on the floor Over and under wandering around I can’t seem to find my way out What kind of glory is this? I fall and hit the ground I can’t shake the spin My consciousness… down… Tailspin…don’t let it drag you to the ground

Turbulence 09:51
I look out on the fog Thoughts of wonder fill my head Forced into believing the promises The promises they’ve said Through the turbulent passage I wonder what the cause Could it be wind, malfunction, Or just a correctional pause Who controls the outcome? Who decides my fate? Could this end in disaster, or must I always wait? None of my questions have been answered These feelings still exist in my mind Those of the past, unfortunate losses Will I join the list, a statistic find? My situation is a familiar one Yet it doesn’t seem so No worries of expression Their confidence shows the end is getting near Pressure builds in my head Now my mind is at peace… but I have to start again
